High-temperature tape for EV battery packs and modules
Polyimide, thermal conductive and foam tape for cell fixing, tab insulation, pack assembly and heat-sink bonding. Supplied from Toronto to battery assemblers, e-mobility manufacturers and R&D shops across Canada, with datasheets on request.
What this page covers
A battery pack puts three tape jobs in a very small space: electrical insulation that cannot fail, bonding that survives heat and vibration, and a thermal path from the cells to the cooling plate. ETS supplies all three from one catalog, and converts them to the shapes your pack design calls for.
Not sure which construction fits your cell format or busbar layout? Send us the operating temperature, voltage and the surface you are bonding to, and we will recommend a tape and send the datasheet with your quote.
Where these tapes are used in a pack
- Insulating and fixing battery tabs, terminals and busbar edges
- Cell-to-cell and cell-to-housing insulation wraps and pads
- Bonding cells and modules under sustained heat (double-sided polyimide)
- Heat-sink and cooling-plate attachment without screws (thermal conductive tape)
- Cushioning and gap filling between cells and enclosures (foam tape)
- Die-cut insulation pads, gaskets and shields cut to your drawing

Temperatures are typical values from the manufacturer’s data. Confirm against the datasheet for your process before you buy — we send it with your quote, and we can send a free sample to test first.
Roll, slit or die-cut part?
Use rolls when your line applies and cuts tape in place. Use custom slitting when a non-standard width removes a trimming step. Use die-cut parts when the same insulation pad, dot or gasket repeats on every pack: parts arrive ready to apply, with consistent edges and no in-house cutting.
Send a PDF or DXF drawing, or a sample part, and we quote per job. See custom die-cutting.
Frequently asked questions
Which tape should I use to insulate battery tabs and busbars?
Single-side polyimide tape (AHS-92xx) is the usual starting point: silicone adhesive, 260°C continuous rating and strong dielectric performance. Share your voltage and temperature and we will confirm the grade.
Can tape replace screws on a cooling plate or heat sink?
For many assemblies, yes. Our thermal conductive tape is fiberglass-backed, rated 120°C continuous and up to 7.5kV, and is designed to bond heat sinks without mechanical fasteners. Confirm the thermal load against the datasheet.
Can you die-cut insulation pads to our pack drawing?
Yes. We die-cut polyimide film and tape, foam and multi-layer stacks to your drawing, from prototype quantities to production runs, quoted per job.
Can we test a sample before ordering?
Yes. Tell us your operating temperature, voltage and substrate and we will send a free sample with its datasheet so you can test it on your own cells or modules.
Do you ship outside the GTA?
Yes. We ship across Canada. Lead time is confirmed in every quote, before you order.
