High-Temperature PET Tape
Polyester film with silicone adhesive — strong, solvent-resistant masking for anodizing, powder coating, and plating lines.
Powder coat · anodizing · plating
Silicone-adhesive PET tape and premium crepe paper masking tape that hold through powder-coat cure ovens, anodizing and plating, and peel off clean. Supplied from Toronto to finishing shops across the GTA and Canada.
Powder coat cure cycles generally run somewhere around 160–210°C for 10–20 minutes — check your powder’s datasheet. Standard masking tape fails in that window: the adhesive flows, leaves residue or lets coating creep under the edge.
ETS supplies two options. High-temperature PET tape is a polyester film with silicone adhesive — strong, solvent-resistant and clean-peeling, used on powder coating, anodizing and plating lines. Crepe paper masking tape in the premium silicone-adhesive grade is a conformable option for powder-coat and paint-spray ovens.

Crepe paper substrate — the premium silicone-adhesive grade holds through powder-coat and paint-spray ovens without residue.
| Product | Model series | Continuous | Short-term | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| High-temperature PET tape | AHS-940x | 180°C | 220°C | Silicone adhesive; solvent-resistant; clean peel; anodizing, powder coat, plating |
| Crepe paper masking tape | AHS-31xx | 250°C (premium grade) | 300°C | Premium silicone-adhesive grade; no residue; conformable |
Temperatures are typical values from the manufacturer’s data. Confirm against the datasheet for your process before you buy — we send it with your quote.
PET tape gives a firm, straight edge and handles solvents and wet processes, so it suits straight masking and plating lines. Crepe conforms around curves and uneven edges, which suits irregular parts.
Running the same mask on hundreds of identical parts? A die-cut mask saves labour and keeps edges consistent.
It depends on your powder and part mass. Many cure cycles run roughly 160–210°C. Our PET tape (AHS-940x) is rated 180°C continuous and 220°C short-term; the premium crepe grade (AHS-31xx) is rated 250°C continuous and 300°C short-term.
Both products are designed for clean removal after the cure cycle. Test on your own substrate and cure profile first — we can arrange a sample for that.
